What is Day on the Hill?
It’s your chance to speak to your elected representatives at the State Capitol and tell your story of how you affect positive change in your clients’ lives.

Why should you participate in Day on the Hill?
California State Senator, Rose Ann Vuich, once said, “I know farming and I know accounting, but I don’t know insurance. I rely on you to come tell me about it because I can guarantee that your opposition is telling me their story.” This is our chance to tell our elected representatives what we do and start cultivating relationships for the future.

Need more reasons to attend?
Here are some current hot topics that affect our industry:

  • Dynamex–A court precedent set last year that would change insurance and financial advisors from 1099 employees to W-2 employees. This will have dramatic effect on your ability to act as an independent agents.
  • Gavin Newsome has not been shy in telling the public he will be the “Healthcare Governor.” Universal Health and Single Payer are looming once more.
  • This is your chance to talk about the issues that matter to you and your industry and start building a trusted relationship with your legislators.
